New initiatives in the world of business teaching

After a summer 2023 packed with academic activity in Latin America, the last quarter of the year was once again focused on the Spanish market.

We resumed our annual masterclass at the University of Barcelona, this time online and focused on Global Sourcing, as part of the Master in Logistics and International Trade programme.

Also, in line with the activity of recent years, we once again conducted a series of mentoring projects at the renowned ESADE Business School.

These are usually in-company projects that students carry out as their final master’s degree project.

And again there were very interesting projects, including studies on logistics services in India, water dispensers for offices in the Netherlands, an analysis of the customer experience at the well-known Cirque du Soleil entertainment company in Canada, and so on.

As in previous years, the mentorships are engaging experiences for all involved!

Still at the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, at the IQS School of Management we started a new course called ‘Geopolitics’, for the students of the Bachelor in International Business, with a strong presence of foreign students.

It turned out – even more so in these troubled times we live in – to be an interesting and varied course with a very high level of class participation.

We also had a number of excellent guest speakers on topics as varied as Brexit, China and COP28 in Dubai – a great success!

And after an uninterrupted period of eight years, we end our collaboration with the Barcelona Campus of Geneva Business School, a regular feature in our Newsletters.

We ended with two subjects for the Bachelor in International Management programme: ‘Fundamentals of International Trade’ and ‘Supply Chain and Operations Management’.
