S3UK Director Adrian Pryce has been appointed to the Institute of Directors (IOD) National Sustainability Task Force. The Institute of Directors National Sustainability Taskforce was formed in 2020 with a view to bringing together a group IoD Members with leadership and expertise in the field of sustainability to help guide the IoD on its own journey with sustainability. Since then, the Taskforce has provided guidance and support to the IoD to achieve a number of milestones, including:
- Getting the IoD’s own carbon footprint certified with Planet Mark from 2019 onwards.
- Launching the Sustainable Business Hub on the IoD website
- Creation of the IoD’s own internal sustainability policy.
- Becoming a founding supporting of the Better Business Act campaign in the UK, to which S3UK has signed.
- Partnering with the Broadway Initiative, an alliance of the UK’s biggest business groups working together on advancing sustainability.
Roles and responsibilities are divided among four Working Groups, and Adrian will be working on:
- Sustainable Business Hub – supporting content creation
- IoD Academy – reviewing the existing IoD Academy resources / courses and supporting the creation of standalone sustainability offerings.
