For several months, the S3 team has been collaborating intensively with Cartif, a renowned technology centre specialising in applied research and technological innovation, based in Valladolid, Castilla y León (Spain).
The entity, which emerged from the University of Valladolid, develops R&D&I projects financed directly by companies or through public funds obtained in national and international competitive calls.
Cartif offers technological solutions for different industries: agri-food, automotive, energy and environment, construction and health: it also has specific solutions for cities and society in general.
The aim of the collaboration with Cartif is to provide support in a wide variety of projects, whenever they involve the purchasing management in which S3 specialises.
In the last few months, several of the projects initiated have already been completed, two of which are described in this article.
First of all, last month the delivery of a first batch of ‘lifting bidets’ was managed, in the context of an innovative public procurement financed by the Family Department of the Castilla y León Regional Government in which Cartif operates in a joint venture together with the Asprodes Foundation and the Intras Foundation. The aim is to supply toilets in the framework of the regional project for the transformation of long-term care. The aim is to improve people’s quality of life.
The images show the product and some aspects of the quality control managed by the S3 team in the factory.

Secondly, we are also managing the production, quality control and shipment of a first batch of motors for walker rollators, in the context of another innovative public procurement funded by the Ministry of Family of the Junta de Castilla y León in which Cartif operates in a joint venture with Asprodes Foundation and Intras Foundation.
This is another innovative project coordinated by Cartif.
Again, the images not only give an idea of the product, but also of some of the phases of the on-site quality control inspection.

We are confident that these first projects form the basis of a long and mutually fruitful collaboration between S3 and an institution of Cartif’s stature.
