As every year, our collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona has once again led to the temporary incorporation of a Chinese student in the offices that S3 Group operates in Barcelona.
In this case, the team has been joined by 22-year-old Zhang Mengdi, who is studying for the renowned Master’s degree in Translation and Intercultural Studies at the UAB.
Mengdi, originally from the large metropolis of Chongqing, located in the west of the country (and about which we included an article in the S3 Newsletter some time ago), first studied Spanish in her hometown, complementing this stage with a stay at the Complutense University of Madrid.
She arrived last year in Barcelona where she is participating in the above-mentioned Master’s programme, with the intention of graduating this summer 2024.
Like all UAB Master in Translation and Intercultural Studies students who have collaborated with S3 in the past, Mengdi focuses on translating S3’s own Newsletters into Chinese, so that our readers in her country can also get the latest news from the company!
As a fun fact, Mengdi has in the past been involved in the translation of TED Talks, with which S3 has also had a very direct experience.
