We return to the CSCMP environment, but this time in the context of a collaboration between the recently created ‘Portugal Roundtable’ in the terminology of the American association, and the ‘Spain Roundtable’, the two territorial delegations in the Iberian Peninsula.

Recently, a webinar was organised, highly publicised among others on LinkedIn, on sourcing in Asia and strategies to pursue in chaotic times.
Daniel Krassenstein, president of the CSCMP Portugal Roundtable and an executive with extensive experience in procurement management in low-cost countries, was one of the panellists.
The webinar was kicked off by Tomás Colonel, president of the CSCMP delegation in Spain, with an introduction to the US association, and was then moderated by Len Pannett, a recognised voice from the SCM world, based in the United Kingdom.
The conversation focused on the current geopolitical situation and, consequently, the difficulties arising for the global context of supply chains.
As sourcing is a key process in this environment, several issues and possible solutions were discussed, both from a US perspective as well as from a mainly European perspective, two very different points of view.
