In line with the reduction of academic collaborations in Barcelona and, at the same time, the growing training activity in Latin America by S3, we report on various initiatives in Brazil.

The main activity, among others because of its duration (several sessions spread over two weekends), took place at a university with which S3 had already collaborated on several occasions over the last few years.
UNIVALI (Universidade do Vale do Itajaí) is located in the southern state of Santa Catarina.

As part of the “MBA in Global Business: Import and Export” programme we focused on the module on Global Project Management, with a specific focus on sourcing management projects.
The participants, all with considerable experience, successfully developed a sourcing simulation.

We also returned to the PUCPR (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná), with its main campus in Curitiba, capital of the state of Paraná, where we gave a conference focused on the subject of geopolitics and its impact on international business.
It is undoubtedly a highly topical subject and was therefore very well received by both the students and the Business School professors.

As seen on the cover of the presentation that accompanied the conference, the collaboration with PUCPR is the fruit of IQS School of Management‘s academic connection with the Brazilian university.

Finally, also in Brazil, we started an interesting collaboration with another regional delegation of the same Pontifical Catholic University, but this time in Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in the extreme south of the country, and therefore it is the PUCRS or Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
In Porto Alegre we participate in two programmes:
- In the context of the “MBA in Leadership, Innovation and Management 4.0” programme, we recorded two online sessions focused on international negotiation: one on buying in Asia and the other on selling in China.
- On the other hand, we gave a conference on sourcing management on a global scale, which was even attended by the Dean of the PUCRS Business School.

Given the entrepreneurial potential of the university and the southern states in Brazil, we are counting on repeating these activities.
