The past quarter has been a busy one in terms of trips to China by the S3 team in Spain.
In April, it was Julián Coronati, Supply Chain Engineer, who made his first trip to China, with two objectives in mind:
- To accompany a major customer on a visit to several key suppliers, and
- To meet several other manufacturers with whom the company collaborates on site with the Chinese team.
On both occasions they were enriching experiences that will undoubtedly make Julian an even more professional sourcing expert than he already was before this trip.

Julian spent a total of two weeks in China, travelling around the country by plane, high-speed train and car, always accompanied by members of the Shanghai team.

Also travelling to China (for the first time since 2019) was Tom Van der Heyden, CEO of S3 Group, on a follow-up trip in the context of a wide variety of sourcing projects and to meet new team members in the city of Shanghai.

Just like Julian’s travel, Tom's trip was also broad in geographical scope, visiting the aforementioned Shanghai, Ningbo (Zhejiang), Hefei (Anhui), Dezhou (Shandong) and Hong Kong, where he met with the local accounting advisory team.
