We already pointed out in a previous edition of the S3 Newsletter that we joined this year the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the largest organisation in the US dedicated to SCM, of which sourcing projects are a very important part.

From 29 September to 2 October, just after the publication of our last issue, the CSCMP annual congress took place, this time in Nashville, Tennessee, the capital of country music!
It was a very diverse event, including a conference with dozens of presentations, a trade fair with hundreds of exhibitors and, overall, thousands of attendees, all in search of what’s new in the sector.

Our presence was coordinated with Miquel Serracanta, a leading Spanish consultant and director of the Master in SCM at EAE Business School, where we taught courses.
Miquel is a member of the Board of Directors of CSCMP and facilitated the extensive networking at the event.
In summary, it was a very interesting experience for S3, with a wealth of new inputs in the fields of AI, nearshoring, software, logistics, partnerships, etc.
If all goes well, we will be present again at the CSCMP EDGE conference, namely at the 2025 edition, which this time will take place in National Harbor, Maryland, in the metropolitan area of the US capital, Washington, DC.
