A singular (almost historic) project for S3 Group during the last quarter was the RETIE certification obtained by our Chinese partner NSPV.
This is a very special case that requires a detailed explanation, as it is not actually S3 that has been certified, but thanks to the know-how present in the technical team, it has been possible to successfully support this complex initiative.
RETIE Certification (Technical Regulations for Electrical Installations) corresponds to the Colombian market and is a sine qua non requirement to be able to carry out electrical installations in the country.
For almost a decade, S3 has been managing purchases in China of a set of fuses and related materials for the photovoltaic projects implemented by the Spanish company Chemik Group worldwide.
For the past two years the company has been developing various opportunities in Colombia, but all these projects require the complete installation to be accompanied by the respective RETIE certifications.
This includes the fuses, manufactured in China, under S3 management.
Being the trusted partner that S3 always is for its customers and having the necessary knowledge to manage complex certification projects, we did not hesitate to carry out this process on behalf of our supplier and in coordination with the certifying body in Colombia, with a positive result!
