As part of the gradual scaling back of S3 Group’s academic activities, in this edition of the Newsletter we report on our two most recent teaching initiatives, which – as always – took place at renowned universities and business schools.
The first of these was our visit to the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, located in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, where we taught the module ‘Creating New Markets’ as part of the prestigious Doctor of Business Administration programme.
This is an academic programme aimed at professionals and executives seeking to further their doctoral studies with a practical focus applied to the business environment.
This programme combines rigorous research with the resolution of real-world business problems, enabling participants to develop strategic, leadership and evidence-based decision-making skills, which are essential in highly competitive and globalised environments.
Our most recent academic collaboration took place in the city of Vigo, Galicia, where we taught the module on industrial marketing as part of the Executive Master’s in International Business at the renowned Universidad Intercontinental de la Empresa.
The UIE (Intercontinental University of Business) in Vigo is an academic institution dedicated to training professionals with strong links to the business community and the economic environment in Galicia.
With a practical and international approach, the UIE focuses on programmes related to business management, innovation and entrepreneurship, incorporating methodologies that foster strategic thinking and decision-making in real-world settings.
Its location in Vigo, one of the main industrial hubs in north-western Spain, strengthens its links with key sectors such as the automotive industry, logistics and international trade, positioning it as an educational centre in tune with the current needs of the market.
Once this phase is complete, from the next issue onwards, we will be dedicating this section of the S3 Newsletter to two new areas:
- Sharing knowledge about sourcing and its role in supply chain management (or SCM).
- A historical overview of S3 Group’s track record over the past decade of partnering up with academic institutions in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
