S3 is not only engaged in sourcing and selecting manufacturers in China and other Asian countries on behalf of Western customers.
The company’s commitment regularly involves the implementation of more advanced development projects, e.g., obtaining (and renewing, as in this case) technologically complex certifications for the products of the sourcing projects in question.
A few editions of the S3 Newsletter ago we reported on the complicated certification process of fuse connectors, manufactured in China for a Spanish customer with worldwide activities and which have a specific use in photovoltaic installations.

In order to be able to participate in the corresponding tenders in the Colombian market, the client needed RETIE certification, a process in which the S3 technical team intervened, under the supervision of Miguel Angel Burges, head of sourcing operations, who has extensive experience in quality procedures, certifications, etc., thanks, among others, to his experience in the highly demanding automotive sector.
After the original certification, we recently managed its renewal, allowing our client to continue its successful commercial development in the Colombian market of photovoltaic installations.
